JUNE Attribute is HONESTY.

WHAT IS HONESTY?

I will be sincere, trustworthy and truthful.

HONESTY is when you commit to being true to yourself and others.

I WILL:

  • speak the truth with kindness and caring.
  • be trustworthy, so people know they can depend on me.
  • be sincere. There is no difference between what I say and do and what I believe in my heart.

“If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything. ”

What we do

The mandate of the Character Community Foundation of York Region is to promote positive character development throughout York Region - in families, neighbourhoods, school boards, businesses, and local government.

Our goal is to raise awareness and educate the public, private, and non-profit sectors on character development.

The Character Community Foundation practices and promotes a simple but important philosophy: When people and communities embrace living with character, we can change the world we live in for the better.

The Foundation's work is focussed on achieving two objectives:

   1. Education - By providing tools and resources to enhance character development across all sectors of the community

   2. Promotion and Awareness - By promoting the importance of demonstrating good character and to share promising practices across all sectors of the community

The Foundation works in partnership with various members of the York Region communities to host public events and develop promotional materials that promote living, learning, working, and playing with character.
